Advocating for Asian American history as part of a quality education
Asian American history is an integral part of the fabric of North Carolina’s – and our country’s – history. A high-quality education means telling the full histories of our state and our country, and that means learning about the contributions of all the people who have been a part of North Carolina.
Students can’t grow as learners or discover new paths forward without having the full context of their history and culture.
We advocate for an approach that helps people see the complex roles and relationships that Asian Americans have had with other racial and ethnic groups, and with other social movements.
